Watauga County Farmers' Market

Kim and Trudy Kittle have been with Watauga County Farmers' Market since 1999. They are the owners of Mountain City Farms, and have an obvious commitment to producing high quality foods.

Trudy is famous for her homemade baked goods, such as muffins and Angel Food cake. Customers can sample homemade bread with almond butter, which is similar to peanut butter. Samples of the Kittle's jams and jellies are also available. The fruits in the jams and jellies are grown organically at Mountain City Farms.

Other popular items include homemade barbecue sauce, natural granola, and honey from Kim's own bees. Produce is available in season, notably peppers, potatoes and eggplant. Look for Yukon Gold potatoes, which appear pre-buttered after cooking.
